The Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology is pleased to announce the Marvin and Kathleen Stone Scholarship/Fellowship Award to provide financial support for research in the areas of history, philosophy, literary, cultural, and aesthetic studies of science, technology, and medicine. Up to two successful candidates will be awarded $1,000.00 each for the Fall 2021-Spring 2022 academic year, to support a research project. Click here to open the Call for Proposals.
This Award is open to UT Dallas Arts & Humanities graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. The focus of eligible research proposals may include, but is not limited to, issues of values in medicine, science, or technology; history and philosophy of medicine, science, or technology; ethics and social justice in science, engineering, or medicine; science, technology, and society; literary and cultural studies of science, technology, or medicine; and representations of science or medicine in literature, art, film, media, or pop culture. Projects from any field of study in the School are eligible. Socially relevant or engaged projects are given extra weight in evaluation.

Note, if you are a doctoral student applying for support of your dissertation project, you may use your dissertation proposal, but you must remember to remove identifying information and information about committee members.
