Workshop on Ethics Codes

Announcing a special Workshop on

The Study of Ethics Codes

May 21, 2013
hosted by the Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology
at the University of Texas at Dallas

The goal of this workshop is to bring together a relatively small group of scholars who are engaged in or are interested in engaging in research relating to the use of ethics codes in science, technology, and medicine, in order to incubate new individual and collaborative research projects. (Projects that aren’t pure research but involving education or advocacy are certainly on the table as well.)

Special guest participants:

  • Janet Kourany, Notre Dame
  • Michael Davis, Illinois Institute of Technology
  • +1 TBD

The workshop will feature talks by our guest speakers, who have all made ethics codes an important aspect of their research, as well as other discussions and activities.

Call for Participants

Potential workshop participants should fill out the form at this link. Space in the workshop is limited, and we are aiming for a good mix of scholars at different career levels and with different levels of experience in the topic.

The workshop will take place the day before our annual Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology Conference on May 22-24. We encourage you to stay for the conference.
